This special exhibition introduces cultural and natural heritages in Vietnam and Russia that have been registered by UNESCO as world heritage sites.
"The heritage sites in Vietnam and Russia show the harmonious connection between preserving national cultural identity with the protection of the natural environment. We focus on the conservation of biodiversity, which has been contributing to the development of the country. However, there are still many challenges in developing sustainable socio-economic in the context of the risk of cultural traditions being lost, or impacts of climate change." said the deputy.
According to Russian Ambassador Gennady Bezdetko, Russia and Vietnam are united by their unique natural diversity and great cultural heritage.
He thanked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum for organizing the exhibition and hoped that it will help promote mutual understanding between the peoples of Russia and Vietnam.
Vietnam is currently home to 42 examples of world heritage, including 21 tangible heritages, intangible cultural heritages, 7 documentary heritages, 11 biosphere reserves and three national parks. Russia has 31 heritage sites, of which 11 are natural and 20 cultural heritages.
