Da Nang City is an active locality that builds friendly relations and cooperation with South Korean localities, organizations, and enterprises in the fields of trade, investment, tourism, education, human resource exchange, and cultural exchange.

With a dynamically developing economy based on modern digital technology, South Korean partners have invested in large projects in the fields of ICT, high technology, and automation in Da Nang, actively supporting the city in developing the semiconductor, microchip, artificial intelligence, and high-quality service industries.

According to Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, South Korea has also been the leading international tourist market in Da Nang for many years. People in Da Nang City also love and choose South Korea as a destination for tourism, study, work, and experience.

This year's Vietnam-Korea Festival program is newly invested and enriched with unique cultural exchange activities taking place right at the Festival area such as a Vietnam-Korea food-making competition with ingredients imported from Jeju Island, and a Vietnam-Korea art talent competition - where young people can unleash their creativity.

The festival also has 60 booths introducing information, culture, cuisine, and traditional and modern art performances, promising to bring a wonderful experience for those who love Vietnamese and South Korean culture. This year's festival attracted the participation of many South Korean delegations, showing that cooperation, cultural exchange, and people-to-people diplomacy activities are receiving attention from both sides.

"I believe that from the results of this Festival, the cooperative relationship between Da Nang City and South Korean partners will continuously expand, and the people of the two countries will become increasingly connected," Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized.

Kang Boosung, the Consul General of South Korea in Da Nang City, said that the Festival demonstrates the deep friendship, trust, progressive cooperation, and exchange between Central Vietnam and South Korea.

Vietnam and South Korea continue to make unceasing efforts to deepen and develop their bilateral relationship even further. In 2023, bilateral trade turnover between the two countries exceeded 76.1 billion USD, making Vietnam the third largest trading partner of South Korea.

Along with that, in terms of people-to-people exchange, the number of South Korean visitors to Vietnam in 2023 will reach approximately 3.6 million people and the number of Vietnamese people visiting South Korea will also increase steadily.

According to Kang Boosung, the Consul General of South Korea in Da Nang, will always cooperate with the city and strive to expand the scope of cooperation to new areas such as high-tech industrial cooperation, business, and university cooperation, and firmly consolidate the foundation for mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in the future.
