Vietnam willing to support Cambodia in Covid-19 fight
The online meeting was held aiming to update information, share experience in Covid-19 prevention and control, and aspire to cooperate with and support Cambodia in the Covid-19 battle, Kinhtedothi reported.
At the meeting, Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long highly appreciated Cambodia's efforts in coping with Covid-19.
Minister Long said one of Vietnam’s experience in Covid-19 prevention and control was mobilizing the participation of the entire political system and residents. All medical facilities were connected with each other so that they could exchange, discuss and consult critically-ill cases. Remote consultation helped Vietnam to successfully handle the first and second waves of Covid-19. In the third wave, although more critically ill cases were reported than two previous ones, no deaths were logged, Long added.

If Cambodia agrees, the Vietnamese Ministry of Health will transport ventilators and masks to the country as soon as possible. The Vietnamese airline will transport from Tan Son Nhat Airport to Phnom Penh Airport in Cambodia. This is one of the biggest supports ever of Vietnam for countries to fight against Covid-19.
