Vietnamese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia visits, works, promotes trade and investment in Qassim province

During the visit, Ambassador Vu Viet Dung participated in a series of activities in Buraidah - the capital of Qassim such as paying a courtesy visit to Qassim’s Governor, His Highness - Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal; coordinated with Qassim Chamber of Commerce and Industry to organize Business Forum; displayed and introduced exported products of more than 60 Vietnamese enterprises at the Qassim Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s headquarter; meeting with Qassim enterprises interested in the Vietnamese market, according to the World & Vietnam Report.
At the meeting with Qassim’s Governor, Ambassador Vu Viet Dung gave an overview of the Vietnam-Saudi Arabia relationship after 20 years of establishing diplomatic relations; Vietnam's economic and investment potentials. He also expressed his hope that the Qassim authority would assist the Embassy in promoting trade in the time ahead.
The diplomat also briefed Qassim’s Governor about the results of his previous meeting with the Qassim Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as information about the Vietnamese Embassy brought products of more than 60 Vietnamese enterprises for display at Qassim on the occasion of this visit.
The Ambassador showed his admiration for the Buraidah’s capacity in producing wheat and date palm. He believed that with hundreds of factories, the advantages of geographical location, and convenient transportation, Qassim would soon become one of the leading economic hubs in Saudi Arabia.
For his part, His Highness - Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal, Qassim’s Governor welcomed the Vietnamese Ambassador to visit the province. He said the ties between the two countries have flourished, expressing his delight that the first-time coordination between Qassim Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Vietnamese Embassy was successful.
The Governor believed that, with the support of the Ambassador and the attention of Qassim leaders, the Vietnam- Qassim relations would develop stronger in all aspects.

At Qassim Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ambassador Vu Viet Dung and the Chamber’s General Secretary Muhammad Al Hanaya jointly chaired the Business Forum with the participation of more than 20 Qassim enterprises in various fields.
The forum also featured presentations on the trade and investment situation in Qassim; policies and mechanisms and investment opportunities in Vietnam; trade opportunities with Vietnam.
The Ambassador and delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy answered a number of inquiries related to several fields such as construction, garment, agriculture, and labor export, acknowledging the Qassim enterprises’ desire to connect with Vietnamese ones.
Ambassador Vu Viet Dung affirmed that the Embassy would do its best to act as a bridge between the businesses of the two sides. At the end of the program, the delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia displayed and introduced Vietnam's exported products such as rice, coffee, cashew nuts, pepper, tea, cereals, garments, construction materials, decorations, furniture, etc.

Also during this visit, the delegation of the Embassy had an intimate meeting with nearly 40 Qassim enterprises at a house of a typical enterprise in Qassim province. The delegation directly discussed with businesses to understand more about the local market’s reality as well as the aspirations of Saudi businesses in general and Qassim businesses in particular.
