In particular, when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in Vietnam, in response to the Government's call, she contributed 2 billion VND to fight the pandemic. Her charity has been recognized by leaders and people of Vietnam. In the book named "Vietnam - The life-and-death war against Covid-19" recently published by the Labor Publisher to honor individuals and collectives in the fight against pandemics, her story is very respectful.
At the end of 2019, she and her husband came to Germany to visit her children studying and working here. They had to temporarily reside in Germany for months due to impacts of pandemic. In these days, they received many sincere feelings, the sharing of the German people and authorities.
She also saw firsthand German resistance to the pandemic. Extremely touched by the hearts and affection of the German people for her family, she decided to give 300,000 masks to residents of Berlin and Leipzig.
At the ceremony, Dr. Josefine Wallat - Consulate General of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh said: “When I hold this sign in my hand, I want to express the German gratitude to her family. She and her family take a very beautiful action to show their interest with Germans, who have coped with Covid-19 pandemic and the crisis. I think it embodies the message of the word "friendship". Our relationship is not only at the national level but also at the residential one. Only in times of crisis like this can you realize the relations of the two countries at a deeper level of sincerity than we expected".

Mr. Marko Walde - Chief Representative of AHK also shared: “I am very happy and proud of receiving this gift from a Vietnamese businesswoman, because the trade relations between the two countries are very good and towards sustainability. We hope that we can further strengthen this relationship, especially when Vietnam signs a free trade agreement with the EU. Mrs. Lien has shown her solidarity with the country in which her family lives and works, whether in Vietnam or in Germany".
From Germany, Mrs. Lien also confided: “Everyone thinks that Germany is richer and healthier than Vietnam and does not need to care about them but I myself see that medical equipment of Germany is very good, Germany's medical facilities are great, but the small mask is a vital necessity. Up to now, the Covid -19 pandemic has been lapsed in Vietnam, we should hold hands with international friends so that the world will not bear any disease anymore”.
