With the participation of nearly 100 parents, overseas Vietnamese, officials from the Vietnamese Consulate General in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), and more than 40 students, the Opening Ceremony was held in a warm and joyful atmosphere.
Speaking at the ceremony, Consul General Luu Xuan Dong emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the mother tongue within the overseas Vietnamese community. Learning Vietnamese not only helps children connect with their cultural roots but also lays the foundation for promoting Vietnamese as an official foreign language in Hessen's school system.
The government of Hessen and Frankfurt have expressed their support and keen interest in the teaching of Vietnamese within the community. To facilitate this initiative, Liebigschule has arranged three dedicated classrooms for Vietnamese classes every Saturday. The launching ceremony marked the beginning of the children's journey in learning their mother tongue and demonstrated the community's determination to preserve and promote national cultural identity.
