Ho Chi Minh City has established a preferential policy to welcome overseas Vietnamese experts, intellectuals, and scientists. This policy aims to encourage them to return to their homeland and participate in cooperation, teaching, and research activities in the city. Vu Thi Huynh Mai expressed hope for receiving opinions and suggestions to develop Ho Chi Minh City.

On this occasion, the Committee for Vietnamese People Outside Ho Chi Minh City and the family of Dr. Vo Ta Han presented 9,607 books, valued at more than 894,000 USD (equivalent to over 24 billion VND , to 33 universities, colleges, and libraries in the Southern and Central Highlands provinces. These books are part of a larger donation of 14,219 science and technology books from the World Scientific Publishing House (Singapore), sponsored by Dr. Vo Ta Han in 2024.

Vu Thi Huynh Mai highly appreciated Dr. Vo Ta Han's donation. She hopes that the universities, colleges, and libraries would create favorable conditions for students, lecturers, and readers to access these donated books and make good use of them.
