Vietnamese Communities in Europe Celebrate New Year with Ao Dai Fashion Show

"Spring Reunion in 2022" was held by the Vietnam Culture and Arts Association in the Czech Republic to welcome the New Year.

On the evening of Jan. 8, 2022 (local time), at the SAPA Trade Center in Prague, Czech Republic, the Vietnam Culture and Arts Association in the Czech Republic organized the program "Spring reunion in 2022".

The highlight of the program was a performance honoring the beauty of Vietnam's traditional Ao Dai along with many cultural exchange performances, contributing to strengthening the connection of the Vietnamese community across Europe towards the homeland on the occasion of preparing to welcome the traditional Lunar New Year.

Joining the special event was Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Thai Xuan Dung, President of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe Hoang Dinh Thang, President of the Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic Nguyen Duy Nhien. Representatives of many associations attended include Vietnamese delegation in the Czech Republic, with the participation of representatives of Vietnamese women's clubs and associations in European countries such as the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany..., along with the core members accompanying throughout the program in many activities.

Speaking at the opening of the program, the President of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe Hoang Dinh Thang highly appreciated the efforts of the Organizing Committee in connecting the members of the "Humanity Fund - Ao Dai Lady in Europe", who participated in the first European Ao Dai Show in 2018 had joined hands once again to prepare for the second program scheduled to be held in July 2022, after nearly 2 years of interruption due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The show is not only a cultural activity but also shows the beautiful traditions, contributing to strengthening the connection of the Vietnamese community across Europe towards the homeland, said Thang.

Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung also expressed his thanks towards the organizers of "Spring Reunion in 2022." He highly appreciated the establishment of the "Humanity Fund - Ao Dai Lady in Europe" after the success of the first Lady Ao Dai Show with many kind, practical and effective activities for people with difficulty while European countries and people living in Vietnam.

Over the years, the "Humanity Fund - Ao Dai Lady in Europe" has had many meaningful volunteer activities, donated generously to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters as well as supporting the community. in the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country and the host society.

The Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic hopes that the Union of Vietnamese in Europe and the Association of Vietnamese in the Czech Republic will continue to accompany the Vietnam Culture and Art Association in the Czech Republic to organize cultural and art activities to preserve and promote national traditional culture, spread humanity as well as contribute to strengthening solidarity among the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic as well as throughout Europe towards the homeland.

The special program in Prague capital city takes place in a friendly atmosphere, full of companionship between the Vietnamese community in European countries with the same warm spirit towards the homeland on the occasion of the approaching Lunar New Year.

Attending delegates enjoyed performances of Spring Ao Dai, Ao Dai of your choice, and evening gowns performed by members of the "European Charity - Ao Dai Phu" as well as delivery dances and songs about springtime celebration. The event also showcased traditional Vietnamese cuisine.
