The exhibition is one of the activities held in the framework of the cultural exchange and cooperation programme between Vietnam and Algeria.
Oil painting works by Vietnamese painter Nguyen Minh Son displayed at the exhibition help introduce natural landscapes across Vietnam to local viewers, including those spotlighting the beauty of Hoi An ancient city in central Quang Nam province, Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh northeastern province, and Sword Lake in capital city of Hanoi.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Pham Quoc Tru highlighted the significance of the event, saying that it aims to promote the painting art of Vietnam, especially modern paintings.
The activity is hoped to help locals get insights into Vietnam’s culture and people, thus contributing to enhancing the Vietnam-Algeria relations and the friendship between the Vietnamese and Algerian people, he stressed./.
