Vietnamese Destinations Win Many World Travel Awards
Many destinations and tourism agencies across Vietnam were crowned winners in different categories. Hanoi won three awards, namely "Asia's leading city tourism destination in 2023", Asia's Leading City Tourism Destination for Short Vacation 2023" and "Asia's Leading City Tourism Authority". One of the highlights of this year's award is that it accesses the attractiveness of short-term resort tourism activities such as night tourism and culinary, as well as the urban experience.
According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, this is a positive sign for the local industry. About 16.9 million tourists visited Hanoi during the first eight months of 2023, rising 36.2% year on year, showing that the international tourist market has recovered. It also affirms Hanoi's leading position on the regional tourism map.
