Bentiu town is the most difficult area in South Sudan, with people suffering from poverty and unstable life, especially ethnic minority groups. People here live almost entirely on government subsidies of the United Nations. Among them, young children, the elderly, and women are vulnerable groups that need the most attention and protection.

The doctors also provide instructions on proper gynecological care and hygiene for women.

After the examination, the women were given gifts, including shirts, sandals, hats, and feminine hygiene solutions.

Dr. Nguyen Ha Ngoc, the Hospital Director, said that Level 2 Field Hospital Rotation 5 has proactively proposed to other units and agencies in the Bentiu subdivision to develop a detailed plan with focal points and organize members. The volunteer work trip was supported and highly appreciated by the commander at the division, because this was a week of action for women and children on International Women's Day March 8.
