University is the door to help students extend their passions and dreams. The joy of graduating from university is not only for students but also for parents and teachers, proud to see a talented young mind enter the world.

The story has also become an inspiration for many people of Vietnamese origin in particular and of Asian descent, in general, living in the US.

In March 2021, the story of a female student of Vietnamese origin was shared, making many people surprised and admired for her excellent academic ability.

According to Fox 5 television channel, Le Vy Nguyen, a 17-year-old student at Crisp County High School (Georgia) had 22 reasons to celebrate when she received offers from 22 universities and colleges altogether.

Nguyen hopes that her story and determination will encourage other teenagers to keep fighting for their goals and know that things will work out.

"The hardest challenge is keeping keep my grades up and my GPA to be good. That was really hard back them. That was one of my stressful things," she described, sharing about the difficulties she faced when coming to a foreign country.

In order to achieve the desired result, Le Vy Nguyen did not forget to thank the teachers who have supported her.

"It's just a testament to her good qualities, excitement and enthusiasm, and her ability to take advantage of opportunities," said Susan Fuller, Nguyen's learning coordinator.

"I just want to share that if I can do it, you can do it. Don't let other people push you down," Nguyen answered when asked to send a message for young Vietnamese about overcoming difficulties and challenges when they have just arrived in a new environment.

The nearly two dozen college acceptance letters she's received was an empowering moment for the Vietnamese teen.

Her family moved to the United States from Vietnam seven years ago.

Out of the 22 schools, Nguyen said Valdosta State University is her top choice right now. She plans to study nursing.

Valdosta State University (VSU or Valdosta State) is a public university located in Valdosta, Georgia. It is one of four comprehensive colleges in the University System of Georgia.

The pass rate is an extremely important data that helps you gauge how difficult it is to get into VSU.

Valdosta State University has an admission rate of 5%. This means that only 5 out of every 100 applicants are admitted - a relatively high match rate.
