About 100 Vietnamese suppliers introduced their agricultural produce to the purchasing department of Lotte Mart supermarket in Ho Chi Minh City at a seminar "Connecting Vietnamese goods to Lotte Mart supermarket system in Vietnam in 2022" on March 3.

The seminar was held by the Investment and Trade Promotion Center of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Lotte Vietnam Shopping Joint Stock Company (LOTTE Mart).

Many Vietnamese enterprises look for opportunities to bring goods to Lotte Mart retail system.

Lotte Mart, a retailer system from South Korea, has opened 14 supermarkets in different parts of Vietnam, namely Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Dong Nai, Da Nang and serves more than 20 million visitors per year.

Lotte Mart's purchasing director for dry food, Nguyen Ngo Anh Tuan, said that the business always wanted to expand its network and looked for Vietnamese suppliers to bring their goods to Lotte supermarkets.

According to Tuan, Lotte has received a large number of orders from suppliers, who want to enter its system. Big enterprises can meet Lotte's requirements and have experience in documents and procedures. However, most of the small and medium businesses show confusion in the early stages and lack professionalism. As a modern supermarket chain, Lotte has strict standards in quality management, publication records, and traceability.

As socio-economic activities of Ho Chi Minh City have returned to a new normal state and are gradually recovering, it is expected that a new stage of recovery, growth and development will flourish in 2022.

With its functions and tasks, the Investment and Trade Promotion Center will continue to carry out activities to support businesses, promote trade to help them expand their market, build a chain of sustainable production and consumption, and promote exports.
