This is the terraced field of Ha Nhi people in Hong Ha province of China. The center of the field is located in Yuanyang county, in Honghe province, southern Yunnan province.

The area covers 1 million hectares and it is recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site.

The road leading to the rice terraces is zigzagged like a spider's web. If you walk on this road in the early morning, you will feel like riding on a floating cloud, because this place is covered with fog.

The two sides of the road are covered with wildflowers in the fragile fog that makes hearts flutter.

Banaue Rice Terrace, Philippines

Banaue terraced fields of the Ifugao people in the Philippines have been recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site because of their sheer size with a height of thousands of meters, demonstrating the farming techniques of the ancients.

Banaue rice terraces have an altitude of about 1,500m above sea level and an area of ​​10,360 km2 on the side of the mountain.

The rice terraces in North Vietnam are recommended as must-visit destinations.

When you imagine magnificent Asian rice fields swirling on the slopes of velvet green hills, you’re picturing Mu Cang Chai, Vietnam.

Centuries of careful cultivation have shaped what is easily some of the most beautiful rice terraces in the world,” the travel site wrote.

Mu Cang Chai is also full of hiking trails and vibrant local culture. Black Hmong, a branch of one of Vietnam’s largest ethnic minorities, are the primary residents. Moreover, Mu Cang Chai provides a unique look into their way of life.

In 2019, the US business news channel CNBC included Mu Cang Chai among the top of the 2020 travel lists praising its magnificent rice terraced fields, saying trekking here is popular, as is cycling and photography, and festivals attract record numbers of tourists every year, including an autumn paragliding festival.

Mu Cang Chai was also named as one of the world’s top 20 colorful places in 2019 by the New York-based magazine Conde Nast Traveler.
