The working trip of General Secretary and President To Lam has achieved many important results, contributing to the solid consolidation of relations between Vietnam and Mongolia, Ireland, France and the Francophone community. The visit also opened new doors for cooperation, contributing to deepening the relations between Vietnam and its partners, making them more practical, effective, and suitable to the new situation and interests of the countries.

With the State visit of General Secretary and President To Lam, the Vietnam-Mongolia relationship has reached new heights. During the journey visit, the two countries agreed to elevate their relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership, marking a significant milestone in their 70 years together.

Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1954, the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Mongolia has continuously developed and achieved many successes, yet the potential for bilateral cooperation remains enormous, especially in the fields of economy, trade, and agriculture. In this context, upgrading the relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership lays a solid foundation for the two countries to utilize the potential for future cooperation effectively.

In their talks and meetings, General Secretary and President To Lam and Mongolian leaders conducted in-depth exchanges and reached important common perceptions on the direction and specific measures to promote cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, tourism, and people-to- people exchanges, commensurate with the new framework of the relationship.

General Secretary and President To Lam affirmed Vietnam's consistent policy of attaching importance to cooperation with Mongolia and wished to promote the bilateral relationship to develop increasingly substantively, effectively and sustainably, in line with the interests, potentials and needs of both countries. President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh emphasized that Vietnam is one of its top partners in the region. During the visit, ministries, agencies and localities of the two countries signed seven cooperation documents.

General Secretary and President To Lam also paid a State visit to Ireland. The visit has created new momentum to promote the strong and sustainable development of Vietnam-Ireland relations in the coming time. In meetings between General Secretary and President To Lam and Irish leaders, the two sides outlined cooperation orientations between the two countries in politics, diplomacy, security, education and training, trade, investment, development cooperation, and many other potential areas.

Promoting trade and investment cooperation was a particular focus of the leaders. Meeting with Irish businesses, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that with the abundant internal strength of each side and the dynamism of the new era, the cooperation potential between the two countries is still very rich and needs to be further promoted.

The visit also marked many important milestones in Vietnam-Ireland relations. The two countries announced the establishment of a Strategic Partnership in the field of higher education cooperation, issued a Joint Statement on promoting Vietnam-Ireland relations, affirming that the visit of General Secretary and President To Lam marked a significant milestone in nearly 30 years of diplomacy relations between the two countries. Lam announced Vietnam's plan to open an Embassy in Ireland, thereby deepening the good friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Attending the 19th Francophonie Summit in France, General Secretary and President To Lam continued to affirm Vietnam's role as a key and responsible member of the Francophonie community in the Asia-Pacific region, while sending a message about Vietnam's active and responsible participation in the activities of the Francophonie community in particular and the international community in general. Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) Louise Mushikiwabo affirmed that Vietnam's participation in the Francophonie Summit at the highest level is an honor for the OIF.

Appreciating Vietnam's role and positive contributions, the Secretary-General of the OIF emphasized that Vietnam is an indispensable factor in the Francophonie community. On the occasion of attending the Summit, General Secretary and President To Lam met and exchanged with high-ranking leaders of many countries and international organizations to promote cooperation between Vietnam and its partners.

Within the framework of the official visit to the Republic of France, the General Secretary and President To Lam and French leaders discussed directions to further promote cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of trade, investment, culture, education, science and technology, and local cooperation. To Lam emphasize that France always holds an important position in Vietnam's foreign relationship policy and more than ever, the between the two countries needs to be upgraded to a new level.

Affirming that France wishes to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam, President Emmanuel Macron stated that the French Government is ready to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to invest in France.

Strengthening the Party's foreign affairs activities, especially with the French Communist Party, is also an important highlight of the visit.

The State visit to Mongolia, and Ireland, attendance at the 19th Francophone Summit, and official visit to the French Republic by General Secretary and President To Lam demonstrate the message of Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development, diversification and multilateralization of foreign relations. The positive results of the visit have significantly contributed to affirming Vietnam's increasingly high position and prestige in the international arena.
