Visit Vung Chua-Yen Island – A Spiritual Destination In Quang Binh
Vung Chua-Yen Island is located in Tho Son village, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province. Being surrounded by the three islands of Hon La, Hon Gio, and Hon Nom (Swallow Island), the Vung Chua area is pretty airtight, which is the shelter for many boats during storms.

A few kilometers offshore from Vung Chua is the romantic Yen Island - home to a large flock of salanganes. Yen Island was first called “Hon Nom” (South Wind Island) following the wind direction. Then, the name Yen Island (Salangane Island) is widely known because many salanganes come and build nests here.

Visitors can move by car, bus, or motorbike along the 1A highway to the north of the center of Dong Hoi City to visit General Vo Nguyen Giap Grave. They can walk about 2km to reach the General's grave here.
