On May 25 afternoon, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, president of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations visited the Kazakhstan Embassy to Vietnam to present scarves to an international art project named "Mother's scarfs." This project helps to draw public attention to women's issues and celebrate the creative professions.
At the event, Kazakhstan Ambassador to Vietnam Yerlan Baizhanov said he was pleased that such a large number of Vietnamese women were joining this project. The ambassador said the scarves would be sent to the project's organizing committee as soon as possible and he hoped that the project would take place successfully.
Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - former chairwoman of the National Assembly; Tong Thi Phong - former standing vice chairwoman of the National Assembly; Nguyen Thi Binh - former vice president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; and Nguyen Thi Doan - former vice president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam also sent scarfs to the project.

At the event, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga thanked Ambassador Yerlan Baizhanov for inviting her to join such a meaningful and humane project. Appreciating the role of women in bringing peace and happiness to the world, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga said he hoped that the "Mother's scarfs" project would contribute to attracting public attention to women's issues.
The international art project named "Mother's scarfs" was initiated by a Kazakh artist named Leila Makhat, president of the Eurasian Academy of Arts. Makhat wishes to collect scarves from global influential women to redesign and hold art exhibitions in many countries.
Through the project, she would like to demonstrate scarves as symbol to protect children and the earth, showing empathy between people at a time when the world was facing many challenges.
The project helps promote moral concepts such as benevolence and humanity.
