We expect the VUFO to strengthen and expand international partners network, as well as pay special attention to partners and the people's organizations in neighboring countries, especially Laos, China and Cambodia. These are people's organizations with the strong foundations. Our goal is to build a friendly society and enhance the ASEAN community's intra-regional connectivity.

The VUFO should strive to engage with strategic partners, deepen relations with traditional partners, making friends with new partners around the world.

Regarding multilateral diplomacy, one of the characteristics of VUFO and also a very good environment is that we participate in the multilateral people’s forums and people-to-people exchanges. But our country’s spirit is positive and proactive. Being active means that all of those motions must have a clear purpose. General goals and political goals must also be very specific. We make great efforts, promote the effectiveness of Vietnam's role in building regional and global mechanisms, as well as contribute to the improvement of the operation of multilateral people's forums.

In additions, the VUFO needs to focus on external information services. Currently, with the trend of international integration, we must do our best from editoring, compiling to using mass media agencies, through Union and Association’s activities to provide knowledge and enhance the people’s integration capabilities.

The Central External Relations Committee is assigned by the Politburo directing, inspecting, urging and guiding the people to people-to-people diplomacy in general, but VUFO is mandated directly. At this point, we need to focus on directing the implementation leadership. We will coordinate with VUFO, will demand VUFO in researching and forecasting the situation, issues related to people-to-people diplomacy and VUFO's activities to provide timely consultations for the Politburo and the Party Central Committee Secretariat.

We will also continue to improve and develop more mechanisms to be able to direct and coordinate closely with VUFO. To make VUFO perform better and better the role of a specialized and pivotal agency of the people-to-people diplomacy. In order to do that, we still have a lot of things to do, such as improving the quality of briefings. The Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations need to strengthen the information exchange. Before that, many times VUFO requested updating information as well as exchange and coordination to handle large-scale people-to-people’s activities. Another important thing is that we have to assist and coordinate with VUFO so that the two diplomatic agencies can do better in training the VUFO staff in particular as well as the officers working in the people-to-people diplomacy in general./.
