What’s New Coming On Netflix in November 2021

November is coming close, and the cold outside makes us want to curl up inside our warm blanket and bing watch our favorite movies or shows. Here is the list of what is coming on Netflix in November, and some of the most expected Netflix originals for you to enjoy.

As temperatures drop and outdoor activities begin to wane in their appeal, many of us will find ourselves spending more and more time inside, glued to our television, desperate for something interesting to watch. Thankfully, Netflix has prepared for this very moment — in November, the streaming service plans to keep us occupied with an extensive array of new titles to choose from.

It’s time for an early look at the Netflix Originals that will be launching onto Netflix globally throughout November 2021. It’s going to be an action-packed month, particularly for Netflix Original movies.

1. The Harder They Fall

Coming to Netflix: November 3rd

The Harder They Fall is a 2021 American Western film directed by Jeymes Samuel, who co-wrote the screenplay with Boaz Yakin. The film stars Jonathan Majors, Idris Elba, Zazie Beetz, Regina King, Delroy Lindo, Lakeith Stanfield, RJ Cyler, Danielle Deadwyler, Edi Gathegi, and Deon Cole.

The Harder They Fall had its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 6, 2021. It is scheduled to be released in a limited release on October 22, 2021, prior to streaming on Netflix on November 3.

Nat Love reassembles his former gang to seek revenge against the man who murdered his parents.

The film was announced in July 2019, when Jonathan Majors was cast to star in the film. Musician Jeymes Samuel co-wrote the film and will make his directorial debut for it. Idris Elba would join in November, and Jay-Z, who will produce the film, was announced to be writing original music for the film. By September 2020, Zazie Beetz, Lakeith Stanfield, Delroy Lindo and Regina King would be amongst new cast members added to the film.

Filming had been scheduled to begin in March 2020 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, but was delayed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cynthia Erivo, Wesley Snipes and Sterling K. Brown, who were initially cast, had to exit due to the delays caused by the pandemic. Filming commenced in September, but was paused on October 15 after an actor tested positive for COVID-19.

2. Love Hard

Coming to Netflix: November 5th

Love Hard is an upcoming American romantic comedy film directed by Hernán Jiménez and written by Danny Mackey and Rebecca Ewing. The film, which stars Nina Dobrev, Jimmy O. Yang and Darren Barnet, is about a young woman who travels to her online crush's hometown for Christmas, but discovers she's been catfished.

Love Hard was produced by Wonderland Sound and Vision, and filmed in Vancouver from October to November 2020. The film is scheduled to be released by Netflix on November 5, 2021.

A young woman in Los Angeles falls in love with a man on a dating app and travels to his East Coast hometown to surprise him for Christmas, but discovers that she has been catfished. Her crush actually does live in the same town, and the man who duped her offers to set them up, if she pretends to be his girlfriend for the holidays.

3. Narcos: Mexico (Season 3)

Coming to Netflix: November 5th

Narcos: Mexico is a Mexican-American crime drama streaming television series created and produced by Chris Brancato, Carlo Bernard, and Doug Miro that premiered on Netflix on November 16, 2018. It was originally intended to be the fourth season of the Netflix series Narcos, but it was ultimately developed as a companion series. It focuses on the development of Mexico's illegal drug trade, whereas the parent series centered on the establishment of Colombia's illegal drug trade. The series' second season premiered on February 13, 2020. On October 28, 2020, Netflix renewed the series for a third and final season but announced that actor Diego Luna would not be returning to reprise his role as Félix Gallardo. The third and final season is set to premiere on November 5, 2021.

The series explores the early origins of the Mexican drug war, beginning at the time when traffickers were a loose and disorganized confederation of small, independent marijuana growers and dealers. It dramatizes the creation and rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s as Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) unifies several plazas, or territories, in order to build an infamous drug empire. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent Kiki Camarena (Michael Peña) moves his wife and young son from California to Guadalajara to take on a new post, where he quickly learns that his assignment will be more challenging than he could ever have imagined.[4] Following Camarena's torture and murder by the cartel, DEA agent Walt Breslin brings a small covert squad of operatives to Mexico to track down and punish Gallardo and his associates.

4. Gentefied (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: November 10th

Netflix’s half-hour Latinx dramedy Gentefied is returning for Season 2 on Nov. 10.

The series from creators Marvin Lemus and Linda Yvette Chávez follows East Los Angeles Latinos on their respective and collective search for the American Dream. Season 2 picks up after the emotional debut season’s finale that saw Erik Morales (JJ Soria) and his girlfriend Lidia (Annie Gonzalez) welcome a daughter, Delfina. As Erik realizes his grandfather Pops (Joaquin Cosio) is missing from the hospital celebration, it is revealed that he has been arrested for an outstanding warrant and his beloved pick-up truck is being impounded.

The streamer teases the return will tackle Erik and his cousin Chris’s (Carlos Santos) struggle to keep Pops in the country while dealing with new love, new babies, estranged fathers, and tracking down Bad Bunny at a Halloween party. They’ll fight to thrive, but along the way will question where they truly belong in a world made up of borders, family separation, and the potential loss of their beloved taco shop, Mama Fina’s.

Gentefied is a Netflix production also starring Karrie Martin Lachney, Julissa Calderon; and newly added season 2 cast Melinna Bobadilla, Manuel Uriza, Ivana Rojas, and Clarissa Thibeaux. The series is executive produced by Marvin Lemus, Linda Yvette Chávez, Charles D. King, Marta Fernandez of MACRO, America Ferrera of Take Fountain, Aaliyah Williams, Kim Roth, and Teri Weinberg of Yellow Brick Road.

5. Passing

Coming to Netflix: November 10th

Passing is a 2021 black-and-white drama film written, produced, and directed by Rebecca Hall in her feature directorial debut. The film is based on the 1929 novel of the same name by Nella Larsen. The title refers to African-Americans who had skin color light enough to be perceived as "white", the practice of which is referred to as passing. The film stars Tessa Thompson, Ruth Negga, André Holland, Bill Camp, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy, and Alexander Skarsgård.

It had its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival on January 30, 2021. It is scheduled to be released in a limited release on October 27, 2021, prior to streaming on Netflix on November 10.

Mixed-race childhood friends reunite in middle class adulthood and become increasingly involved with one another's lives and insecurities. While Irene identifies as African-American and is married to a black doctor, Clare "passes" as white and has married a prejudiced, but wealthy white man.

6. Red Notice

Coming to Netflix: November 12th

Red Notice stars Johnson as the top FBI profile who is forced to work with the world’s best con artist (Reynolds) to capture the world’s greatest thief (Gadot). Johnson’s Skyscraper director Rawson Marshall writes and directs the feature, and the film reteams Johnson and Reynolds, who worked together on Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

The new clip follows the first trailer for Red Notice, which arrived earlier this month and showed off its comedic tone. Red Notice was originally set up at Universal but moved to Netflix in 2019.

Red Notice has a release date of Nov. 12.

7. tick, tick…BOOM!

Coming to Netflix: November 19th

Tick, Tick... Boom! (styled as tick, tick... BOOM!) is an upcoming American musical drama film directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda in his feature directorial debut, from a screenplay by Steven Levenson, based on the semi-autobiographical musical of the same name by Jonathan Larson. The film stars Andrew Garfield, Alexandra Shipp, Robin de Jesús, Joshua Henry, Judith Light, and Vanessa Hudgens.

Tick, Tick... Boom! is scheduled to have its world premiere at AFI Fest on November 10, 2021, and is scheduled to be released in a limited release on November 12, 2021, before streaming on Netflix on November 19, 2021.
