The People's Committee of Quang Tri province met a working delegation of World Vision International (WVI) in Vietnam led by Doseba Tua Sinay, its Chief Representative on August 16.
In Quang Tri, WVI implements projects in the districts of Hai Lang, Huong Hoa, Dakrong, Trieu Phong, Vinh Linh. The total funding WVI has supported the province in implementing programs, projects, and non-project aid from 2000 to present is USD 46.2 million, accounting for about 15% of the total value of pprovincial foreign non-governmental aid.

Speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri People's Committee Hoang Nam highly appreciated the contributions of WVI to Quang Tri in recent times. Programs/projects sponsored by WVI have brought practical results, raising awareness and improving the lives of people in the project area, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
Vice Chairman of Quang Tri People's Committee hopes that WVI will continue to accompany Quang Tri province to have new initiatives, supporting Quang Tri people in nutrition, children's health, clean water, environmental sanitation, livelihood and development of community tourism models. In particular, 2025 is the year of the 25th anniversary of cooperation between Quang Tri and World Vision, this is an opportunity for both sides to look back at the achievements to plan future cooperation.
Also at the meeting, Doseba Tua Sinay, chief representative of WVI in Vietnam affirmed that this business trip has a very important meaning, helping the delegation see more clearly the specific activities and results of the cooperation between WVI in Vietnam and Quang Tri province in recent times.
According to Doseba, WVI will consider to have a plan to support livelihoods and support the development of tourism models for people. At the same time, a specific plan for activities should be developed to celebrate 25 years of cooperation between the two sides in the near future.
WVI operates in the fields of rural development, agriculture and forestry; mitigating impacts of natural disasters, adapting to rural and urban climate change; promote the resolution of socio-economic issues related to gender equality; economic empowerment for women, value chain; implementing microfinance programs and projects, employment, violence prevention, community capacity building and emergency relief.
