With aid allocated from the Germany's Relief Coalition's emergency aid (Aktion Deutschland Hilft), World Vision Vietnam was able to respond immediately to the needs of almost 2,000 people affected.
The total value of this distribution was up to USD 56,423.
This activity belongs to World Vision Vietnam's Response and Early Recovery Program in response to the widespread flooding and landslides caused by the recurrent rains and typhoons in Central Vietnam.
With a budget of more than USD 1.4 million, this program aims to address the most urgent needs with life-saving assistance and speed up life building process for more than 10,000 most vulnerable households in the affected areas of Quang Tri, Quang Nam, and Quang Ngai provinces.

The central region of Vietnam has beenconsecutively hit by eight tropical storms since early October 2020. Although the direct consequences of the storms were not great, the storm circulation caused heavy rains on a large scale along with many serious landslides which damaged houses, crops and the property of hundreds of thousands of households.
In last October and November, Quang Ngai has been continuously hit by storms and floods, with the total estimated damages climbing to over VND 4.85 trillion.
World Vision started working in Vietnam in 1988. Since then, the organization has implemented many relief and development programs, partnering with the Vietnamese government, other NGOs, and communities. World Vision's long-term development programs are currently operated in 18 cities and provinces throughout Vietnam.
