Nha Trang People committe vice president Nguyen Sy Khanh said on April 15 that the group of foreigners living in the beach town of Nha Trang congregated to drink beer at their homes late at night, violating the 15-day (April 1-15) social distancing campaign launched by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
The campaign urged people to stay home unless absolutely necessary and banned public gatherings of more than two.
Those were fined due to their over 10 gathering while the whole country was beeing imposed the social distancing from April 1 to 15. The behaviour vilolated 16/CT-TTg Decree dated March 31 by Prime Minister on urgent measures for Covid-19 preventation.
The violators have complied with the fines with total number to vnd 135 million ( US $ 5700)
During the 15-day social distancing campaign, authorities in Khanh Hoa issued 1,200 warnings and fined 21 people over VND143 million ($ 7000) in total for gathering in crowds and failing to wear face masks.

Khanh Hoa Province is one of 12 localities including Hanoi, HCMC and Da Nang where the social distancing campaign has been extended until April 22.
Vietnam’s infections tally to 268 Friday morning with no new cased confirmed, among 97 active cases and 173 discharged from hospitals.
