The Union of Friendship Organizations of Hau Giang province in collaboration with the UK's Christina Noble Children's Foundation (CNCF) and the People's Committee of Long My district on November 8 organized the inauguration of Kinh De bridge, Xa Phien commune, Long My district, connecting the banks of Hamlet 7 and Hamlet 8.

Attending the event were President of Hau Giang Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Van Nhan, CEO of CNCF Vietnam Nguyen Thanh Nha and representatives of local leaders.

After three months of construction, the completed Kinh De bridge has a length of 21m, a width of 2.5m with a reinforced concrete structure design with a load of 2.5 tons. The total construction cost is nearly VND 500 million (USD 20.570), sponsored by the Hau Giang Union of Friendship Organizations in connection with the Christina Noble Children's Foundation and UK-based oil and gas company Harbour Energy.

The bridge was put into use to create favorable conditions for people and students to travel conveniently, and transport agricultural products easily, contributing to promoting the local economy and society.

On the same day, the delegation also came to hand over the project of renovating and repairing the kitchen of Luong Tam Kindergarten in Luong Tam commune; surveying Hau Giang 3 bridge in Long Phu commune, and Bay Phuoc bridge in Thanh Xuan commune, Chau Thanh A district.

CNCF is building new satellite schools in Lam Dong.

Earlier, on November 3, CNCF also inaugurated two satellite schools - Dang Sron and Hiep Thuan of Ninh Gia Kindergarten in Lam Dong province's Duc Trong district.

Present in Vietnam in 1989, CNCF is one of the longest-running international non-profit organizations operating in the country. It has so far launched over 100 projects in Ho Chi Minh City and adjacent provinces, providing support to hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged children.
