Command of Naval Region 5 Gifts House to Martyr's Family

Viet Expat Returns to Find Lost Graves of Heroic Martyrs

Nguyen Van Viet, who was born in 1962, resides in Hamlet 7B, Hiep Tung commune, Nam Can district. He is the son of a martyr and his family faced many housing difficulties. Recognizing their situation, the Command of Naval Region 5, in collaboration with local authorities, surveyed the site and agreed on the construction plan for the gratitude house for Viet's family.

After nearly two months of construction, the level 4 house, with an area of over 60m², a tin roof, and a tiled floor, was completed on schedule and met all quality standards. The construction cost was nearly VND 100 million, of which VND 80 million was provided by the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund. The remaining amount was contributed by Viet's family and relatives.

At the handover ceremony, Brigade 175 and local authorities presented Nguyen Van Viet's family with many essential household items for daily living.

On the same afternoon, authorized by the Command of Naval Region 5, the Technical and Logistics Assurance Center organized a working group to visit and present gifts to ten policy families in Hang Vinh Commune, Nam Can District.

This activity has practical meaning, expressing the gratitude and affection of the officers and soldiers of the Command of Naval Region 5 towards policy families and those who have contributed to the revolution on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024).
