No new cases reported on the morning of September 1

According to the Ministry of Health, at 6 o'clock on September 1, Vietnam did not record any new cases of COVID-19. There are a total of 690 cases of COVID-19 due to domestic infections since the first pandemic break, of which the number of cases related to Da Nang since July 25 is 550.

The total number of people under medical monitoring (quarantine) is 55,370, of which 908 people are isolated in hospitals, 16,117 isolated at other establishments; 38, 345 self-isolated. Among patients undergoing treatment, the number of negative cases for SARS-CoV-2 times 1 was 29, the second time was 72, and the third time was 36.

The report of the Treatment Committee also showed that there are 8 cases with a severe and critical prognosis, accounting for (3.1%) of the total number of patients being treated, of which the prognosis is very severe is 5/8 cases (2.0%), and the prognosis of death at any time increased to 3 cases (1.2%).

34th death confirmed

On the afternoon of August 31st, the Standing Committee for COVID-19 Prevention of the Ministry of Health in Da Nang City informed about the death of patient no.1040. This is the 34th fatal case of COVID-19 since the epidemic occurred in Vietnam, according to Tien Phong.

Patient 1040 is a 55-year-old male, lives in Hoa Vang, Da Nang. His medical history includes Septic shock, Respiratory failure in the patient Guillain-Barre syndrome, Type 2 diabetes mellitus, severe depression.

The patient has been diagnosed with death from COVID-19 pneumonia complications of progressive respiratory failure, septic shock in patients with a history of Guillain Barre Syndrome, type 2 diabetes, severe depression.

Da Nang organizes the COVID-19 test for high school students who entering 2nd graduation exam

On the morning of August 31, nearly 11 thousand candidates taking part in the 2020 high school graduation exam at the Da Nang City Examination Council were tested for SARS-CoV-2. All students are asked to wear masks and arrive early to prepare for the test.

Having been tested for SAR-CoV-2 before taking part in the 2020 high school graduation exam, candidates in Da Nang expressed their thankfulness and promised to strictly follow the pandemic prevention requirements as recommended by the Department of Education and Training.
