These face masks were donated by the city-based Hoa Tho Textiles and Garments Company to the Vientiane branch of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association to support the Laotian capital in the fight against Covid-19, Da Nang Today reported.
Addressing the handover ceremony in Da Nang on Tuesday, Lao Consul General Viengxay Phommachanh thanked the Hoa Tho Textiles and Garments Company, and the Da Nang people, for their donation and support to the Laotian capital.
The Laotian diplomat promised that these face masks would be sent to the Vientiane branch of the Viet Nam-Laos Friendship Association as soon as possible.
Earlier on May 20, representatives from the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee handed 17,500 and 20,000 face coverings to staff of the Laos Consul General and the Russian Consul General respectively, both in Da Nang, to help for citizens in these countries to protect themselves from coronavirus.

At the handover ceremony in these foreign diplomatic facilities in Da Nang on Wednesday, Chairwoman of the municipal Fatherland Front Committee Dang Thi Kim Lien said the Covid-19 outbreak is brought under control in Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, and believed that Laos and Russia would win the fight against the deadly virus.
