Disadvantaged People in Cambodia Receive Health Check, Medicine, Gifts from Vietnam

To commemorate the 57th anniversary of Vietnam and Cambodia diplomatic relations, a collaborative event was held on August 11. The Ho Chi Minh City Command, the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association, the Long An Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association, and the Tam Viet medical team came together to host the event. They provided medical check-ups, medicines, and gifts to people in hardships in the border communes of Crua and Hung Ha.
At the event, a total of 800 individuals from two communes, with 400 from each, received comprehensive medical check-ups, blood pressure tests, ultrasounds, and eye examinations. Additionally, they were provided with medications and gifts, which included VND 200,000 in cash and various household essentials, courtesy of the Tam Viet medical group, operating under the auspices of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association.
Beyond providing medical examinations and treatments, the Tam Viet group actively offers guidance and advice on health care, nutrition, and adequate rest. This support aims to assist individuals in preventing cardiovascular and common diseases, particularly under the ongoing unpredictable weather conditions.The initiative is supported with a total funding of VND 400 million, provided by the Ho Chi Minh City Command and the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association.

The initiatives are designed to assist the impoverished in surmounting challenges; foster opportunities for interpersonal exchanges, bolster mutual comprehension among residents of border regions, and thus aid in advancing the amicable, united, and collaborative ties between the citizens of Vietnam and Cambodia, especially within Tan Hung district, Long An province.
During this event, the delegation gifted items to the leaders of Crua commune and Svay Chum district in Svay Rieng province, Cambodia. They also presented a symbolic board to fund the construction of three military-civilian houses, valued at VND 240 million in total, with each house costing VND 80 million, aimed at assisting families facing housing hardships in Tan Hung district.
On June 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Command, together with the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City, the Tay Ninh Union of Friendship Organizations, the Tay Ninh Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association, and the Tam Viet medical team, conducted a program that provided medical examinations, medicine distribution, and gift presentations to the disadvantaged residents of Tan Binh commune in Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh province (Vietnam), and Ko commune in Krek district, Tuol Kork province (Cambodia).
