About 40km west of Ha Long city (Quang Ninh) lies Dong Son nature reserve. The reserve, called "the city's lung" has a great location to enjoy the sunset - Ky Thuong peak. The most beautiful time to admire the sunset on Ky Thuong peak is probably in autumn when the red-orange color of the sun is blended with the white of clouds and the green of mountains.

Dong Son – Ky Thuong Natural Conservation Area covers an area of 15,600 ha. The figure is expected to reach 20,000 ha by 2021, the largest of its kind in the Northwest of Vietnam. For a long time, Dong Son – Ky Thuong Natural Conservation Area in Hoanh Bo District has been known for its vast land, diversified biodiversity value, and the greatest tourism potential among forests in the Northwest of Vietnam.
