	Wildlife released into Bai Tu Long National Park

Bai Tu Long National Park is formed on the spectacular islands of Bai Tu Long Bay, immediately northeast of Halong Bay. It covers an area of 15,783ha, including 6,125 ha of floating islands with more than 80 large and small islands forming 3 main island groups of Sau, Tra Ngo and Ba Mun in the premise.

The ecosystem is supposed to be the most diverse and plentiful in Southeast Asia with 6 basic marine-forest eco-systems, including mangrove forests, tropical rain forests, coral reef, seagrass beds, intertidal zone and caves.

According to Orientalsails, this national park is home to nearly 500 species of plants belonging to 117 families, including many rare and valuable plants. In addition to the abundance of plants, Bai Tu Long National Park is also a collection of rare animals of Vietnam with 37 species of birds. There are 9 species listed in the Red Book of Vietnam such as wild boar, wild deer, yellow monkey, chamois … marine animals here are also many with 391 species, there are many species of high economic value such as abalone, seagull, sea cucumber, mussels,…

The first destination when visiting Bai Tu Long National Park should be Cai De, the immensely pristine cave full of surprises, particularly the shimmering million-year-old stalactites of different shapes and thousands of bats hiding on stalactites.

Cai De cave together with Tai Valley are attractive magnets for those who love adventure tourism in Bai Tu Long National Park.

Ba Mun Island is the next attractive spot that lures tourists thanks to the quite large population of golden deer – the only one in the Northeast of Vietnam. Furthermore, there are a variety of other animals such as deers, monkeys, langurs, sea birds, etc. Ba Mun is now the largest natural wildlife conservation area in the Northeast region.

Cai Lim valley is worth the last spot to discover in Bai Tu Long National Park as it is highly evaluated by senior experts from the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity thanks to the unique values in terms of ecology, science, education, and training. This is considered the precious gift bestowed by nature, serving conservation, scientific research, and eco-tourism development in the near future as well.

Lonely Planet once wrote “In some ways, the park is actually more stunning, since it’s only in its early stages as a destination for travelers. The bay and its islands are still unpolluted and relatively undeveloped.”
