On August 28, the Vietnamese Embassy in China held a ceremony to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the National Day.

Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Sao Mai reviewed the historical milestones in the 79-year development journey of Vietnam. Despite many difficulties in the international and regional situation this year, Vietnam still maintains a positive socio-economic development trend, with an expected annual GDP growth of 6-6.5%, noted he.

The country’s foreign affairs and international integration have been proactively and effectively implemented, achieving historic results. Regarding Vietnam-China relations, the ambassador affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to consolidating and developing a stable and healthy relationship with China.

Recently, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Preah Sihanouk province, Cambodia held a ceremony to celebrate the 79th National Day of Vietnam.

Consul General Lai Xuan Chien recalled the historic event that President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence proclaiming the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945, and highlighted efforts of the Vietnamese people in fighting and working to defend the independence, and building an unprecedented stature in the history of the nation as seen today, and in pursuing the goal of a prosperous people, a strong country, democracy, justice, and civilization.

The diplomat highlighted the strong development of the Vietnam – Cambodia relations, saying that positive outcomes of recent visits between high-ranking leaders of the two countries have demonstrated that the bilateral relations have been increasingly strengthened and robustly developed under the motto of good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability.

On August 26, in Moscow, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation solemnly hosted a ceremony to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

On this occasion, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi reflected on the 79 years of the nation’s development, which has transformed into one of the most dynamic economies in the Asia-Pacific region with extensive foreign relations.

During the ceremony, a mini-exhibition of paintings by Russian artists depicting Vietnam was organized by the Suzdalski Cultural House in Saint Petersburg. The exhibition, featuring over 50 paintings created by 24 artists from the Temple of Friendship Association, was titled "Ho Chi Minh - Saint Petersburg," reflecting their interpretations of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, guests were also treated to a special cultural program performed by Vietnamese students and Russian artists, along with various traditional dishes prepared by Vietnamese restaurants in Moscow.

On August 24, 2024, in the capital of Ankara, the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey hosted a ceremony to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, with nearly 300 guests in attendance.

In his opening speech, Vietnamese Ambassador in Turkey Do Son Hai reviewed the historical significance of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, recalling the milestones of the nation and the great contributions of the forefathers in building and defending the country.

At the ceremony, the Ankara Philatelic Association exhibited a historical stamp collection about Vietnam, showcasing the affection of the Turkish people for the land and people of Vietnam.

Guests were also excited to enjoy distinctive Vietnamese dishes such as beef pho, steamed chicken, shrimp crackers, and squid cakes, all rich in Vietnamese flavor.

On August 23, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Luang Prabang, Lao, held a ceremony to celebrate this milestone of Vietnam.

Consul General Kieu Thi Hang Phuc emphasized that each victory of the Vietnamese revolution has been supported wholeheartedly by the Lao Party, State, and people throughout the struggle for national liberation, and reunification, and in the current efforts of nation-building and defense.

The Vietnam-Lao relations, nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane, President Souphanouvong, and many generations of Vietnamese and Lao people, have become an invaluable asset of the two countries, she added.

As part of the event, the Consulate General organized a cultural program featuring performances praising President Ho Chi Minh, celebrating the beauty of Vietnam’s land and people, and highlighting the special friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

In recent days, many other Vietnamese embassies worldwide have solemnly held special activities to celebrate Vietnam's National Day, including the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia, the Vietnamese Embassy in Mozambique, the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia,... This is an opportunity for international friends to gain more knowledge about Vietnam's socio-economic development situation while enjoying Vietnam's cuisine, traditional culture, and arts section.
