According to the Ho Chi Minh city Centre of Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labour Market Information (FALMI), surveys on enterprises’ demand for a range of employees show that in June, enterprises plan to recruit some 25,000 for different positions.

The demand is forecast to focus on information and technology, tourism, services, electronics, food technology, textile and garment, leather footwear, architecture, construction technique, real estate business, logistics, import and export, banking and auditing sectors.

According to Tran Anh Tuan, FALMI Vice Director, with the wide range of skills available in the labour market, there will be considerable competition being faced by candidates in the coming months.

In May, the demand for labourers increased by 20% compared to April, of which the demand for experienced labourers accounted for 58%, an increase of 27%, especially in business, sale, textile and garment, real estate, accounting, service and customer service sectors.

Meanwhile, the number of job seekers increased by 5% compared to April, focusing on accounting and auditing, administrative office, business and sale, architecture and construction technique, atomization, and information and technology areas./.
