Zum Coffee is located on the first floor of a collective living quarter, in a small alley of Vu Ngoc Phan street, Dong Da District, Hanoi. The facade of it is like many others with a small yard planting green trees. The architecture of this shop is almost unchanged based on the old house. It is only decorated some areas to serve customers.

Inside the apartments have cleared the rooms, creating a space throughout from outside. The walls are painted with yellow color, creating patchy ceiling tiles to create an old look.

The curvy hand salon set is a familiar image to many families in the 80's of the last century. On the wall there is a painting of a tailor shop with familiar services.
The next room is a somewhat "indented" space with a pressed wall - a material commonly used as a partition in old collective living quarter. Objects such as helmets, leaf hats, water balloons, elephant ear fans, and vinyl record players add old colors to the space.
