Italian Students Learn Vietnamese Through Traditional Art
The Italian students of the Faculty, along with Vietnamese students currently studying at Ca'Foscari, performed the repertoire of Quan họ, Cải lương, Chèo, reciting poetry (Nguyen Du, Nguyen Binh), and fashion shows on clothes of Vietnam' ethnic groups. Cải lương artist Huyen Linh, who is currently residing in Italy, contributed an excerpt from "Ho Xuan Huong".

Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Hue expressed her delight at seeing Vietnamese being learned and taught through traditional arts, thanking the school, teachers, and students for their efforts to overcome difficulties in teaching and learning in socially isolating environments and for success to achieve impressive results. The establishment of a Vietnamese language faculty, as well as the development of higher education cooperation/exchange, are proofs of the lively relationship between the two countries.

Marco Cicera, Director of the Faculty of Asia and Africa expressed his satisfaction with the high-achieving students after the first three years, emphasizing the school's priority for the Faculty as well as the faculty alone when considering language teaching and learning and other cultures, making an important contribution to mutual understanding.
On this occasion, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Hue and Marco Cicera had a meeting to discuss ways to further expand cooperation between both parties, including mobilizing more scholarships for Vietnamese students to come and study.

The Vietnam Faculty at Ca'Foscari University was established in 2019, there are 40 students enrolled so far.
In addition to learning Vietnamese, students also study subjects such as culture, politics, history, etc. Especially, with the teaching participation of Nguyen Bich Huong, President of the Italy-Vietnam Cultural Bridge Association, the students were able to explore and learn traditional Vietnamese art.
