Mau Son experiences the coldest time since the beginning of 2020's winter hitting the northern region of Vietnam. In mountainous areas, the temperature has dropped below 7 degrees Celsius, lower than the previous day. Specifically, the monitoring station at Mau Son Mountain, Lang Son Province recorded the lowest temperature of 2.1 degrees Celsius at dawn. This is the lowest level in the North since the beginning of winter.

Meanwhile, Sa Pa, Lao Cai Province recorded a temperature of 5 degrees Celsius, which is 2 degrees Celsius lower than on December 4. During the day, the temperature inched up to the threshold of 12-14 degrees Celsius with cold weather and high humidity.

According to Zing News, Mr. Luu Minh Hai, Director of Lao Cai Hydrometeorology Station, said that 5 degrees Celsius temperature in Sa Pa is the lowest one recorded since the beginning of winter this year. Previously, Sa Pa had twice recorded a harmful cold of 7 degrees Celsius in the early autumn-winter period.
This expert also noted that the strengthening cold air will maintain until the end of December 6, then weaken. From tomorrow, temperatures in Sa Pa and mountainous areas will increase slightly.
