Netflix is bringing family-friendly frights to the table this Halloween with a few different projects, one of which is a brand new original series titled Scaredy Cats. Part of this year’s “Netflix and Chills” lineup, Scaredy Cats will be premiering on October 1, 2021.

“They must learn to use the necklace and her witch powers to defeat the bad witches and save their town.”

The Guilty is a 2021 American crime thriller film directed and produced by Antoine Fuqua, from a screenplay by Nic Pizzolatto. A remake of the 2018 Danish film of the same name, the film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Ethan Hawke, Riley Keough, Christina Vidal, Eli Goree, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Paul Dano, and Peter Sarsgaard.
The Guilty had its world premiere at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival on September 11, 2021. The film is scheduled to be released in a limited release on September 24, 2021, prior to streaming on Netflix on October 1.
3. A Tale of Dark & Grimm (Season 1) – Netflix

Based on the best-selling book series by Adam Gidwitz, the animated series follows Hansel and Gretel as they run away from home to find better parents...or at least ones who won't chop off their heads! As Hansel and Gretel leave their own story and venture through other classic Grimm fairy tales, unexpected narrators' guide us through their encounters with witches, warlocks, dragons and even the devil himself. As the siblings roam a forest brimming with menacing foes, they learn the true story behind the famous tales, as well as how to take charge of their destinies and create their own happily ever after. Because once upon a time, fairy tales were awesome.
4. The Baby-Sitters Club (Season 2) – Netflix

On October 28, 2020, the Netflix Australia and New Zealand Twitter account confirmed BSC would return for season 2. The video announcement featured the show's original stars—Malia Baker (Mary Anne), Momona Tamada (Claudia), Xochitl Gomez (Dawn), Jessi (Anais Lee), Vivian Watson (Mallory), Shay Rudolph (Stacey), and Sophie Grace (Kristy) —lip-syncing to the theme song from the original HBO series, which aired in 1990.
Then, in August 2021, Netflix finally revealed first-look images and a release date: October 11. The sneak peek has us eagerly anticipating Claudia's return to the (middle school bedroom) runway.
5. You (Season 3, 2021) – Netflix
Photo: Netflix |
Deadline confirmed in April 2021 that following several COVID-19 related production delays, filming on You season 3 was completed and the show will premiere in Q4 of 2021. Showrunner Sera Gamble confirmed in February of 2020 that they'd started work on season three.
There's also an official Twitter account that provides updates about the writing room. Some of the best details to be revealed? That the eighth episode of the season is "batshit"...and that anal beads may or may not be involved in the season.
The new teaser welcomes Joe and Love's bundle of joy. It shows a pair of hands, presumably those of Love, making a cake for their newborn. While the hands crush eggshells and wipe drops of blood-red icing off a knife, Joe opines about having a son, at one point saying that the idea of raising a boy like him was "not without his challenges."
The trailer ends with two reveals: that the new season will premiere this October, and that Joe and Love's son will have the literary name Henry. A gender reveal has never been quite so sinister.
