On February 22, the Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Children's Rights in Dak Lak province collaborated with various organizations to award 100 scholarships, each valued at 1 million VND, to disabled and orphaned students facing hardships in Buon Ma Thuot city.

Luong Bao Ngoc, a first-grader at Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School in Buon Ma Thuot city, expressed her gratitude upon receiving the scholarship, saying, "I feel very happy, thank you very much! I promise to be a good student and study well."

Nguyen Thi Phi Thao, Chairwoman of the Association, shared that this scholarship program, now in its third year, is an annual initiative aimed at encouraging and providing opportunities for disabled and orphaned children to continue their education despite difficulties.

Over the years, the Association has implemented numerous impactful programs, such as building charity houses, donating wheelchairs and rocking chairs, supporting trees and seedlings, and awarding scholarships. These efforts have provided significant motivation for people with disabilities and orphans to overcome challenges and improve their lives.

In 2024, the Association mobilized diverse resources, implementing four key sponsorship programs and coordinated initiatives. These efforts benefitted 9,100 individuals with disabilities and orphans in challenging circumstances, with a total value exceeding 2.5 billion VND.

Looking ahead to 2025, the Association plans to intensify public awareness campaigns around Vietnam Day for People with Disabilities (April 18) and the Month of Action for Children. It also aims to conduct surveys to better understand the needs of those requiring support, collaborate with sponsors to organize various activities, launch an online sales training program for people with disabilities, and introduce a QR code scanning campaign to enhance support for them.
