Dr. Le Viet Quoc, AI Researcher at Google said that artificial intelligence (AI) is the key to unlocking future revolutions. He cited examples such as using AI to create cancer vaccines or developing more efficient materials for solar energy.

"These are just a few examples of AI's limitless potential," he added. According to Dr. Quoc, the rapid development of AI will pose significant challenges as many traditional jobs become automated. However, he sees this as a great opportunity for Vietnam. While many other countries remain tied to existing jobs, Vietnam can develop alongside artificial intelligence.

Based on his experience, Dr. Le Viet Quoc proposed four recommendations for Vietnam to turn this challenge into an opportunity.

First, Vietnam should recognize that its greatest asset is its people. Building on this foundation, Vietnam should invest heavily in artificial intelligence education, especially at the university level. Vietnam should establish a university for artificial intelligence, with in-depth training programs from the early years.

"I am pleased to share that during this trip back to my home country, Google has decided to invest in Fulbright University, especially in the artificial intelligence education program. I believe that this investment will lay a solid foundation for educational innovation in this field in Vietnam," Dr. Quoc said.

Second, after investing in human resources, Vietnam must find ways to leverage high-quality human resources. The best way to do this is to invest in an innovation and startup ecosystem. Experience shows that in every revolution, there are winners and losers, and the most effective way to find the winners is to create a diverse and strong startup ecosystem.

Third, Vietnam should focus on developing strong applications of artificial intelligence. In the 21st century, artificial intelligence will be an important tool. The good news is that many artificial intelligence software are now being provided as open source, opening up great opportunities for applications in the near future. Vietnam needs to set ambitious national goals, applying artificial intelligence in areas such as public health, transportation, and many others.

Fourth, Vietnam should establish a high-level advisory board on chips and artificial intelligence. These are areas that are developing at a rapid pace, and this board will help make quick and accurate decisions in these spearhead areas.
