Paradisiacal beauty of Lan Ha Bay from bird-eye view

Lan Ha Bay is shrouded in the early mist. The bay covers an area of 7,000 hectares, surrounding the Cat Ba Archipelago and adjacent to world-famous Ha Long Bay. The photo belongs to the series of “The scenery of Lan Ha Bay” by Pham Huy Trung (Ho Chi Minh City) while traveling in the red phoenix flower city in early June 2020.

Green limestone islands dimly doom in the thick mist. Lan Ha Bay consists of about 400 large and islands and is currently a member of the World's Most Beautiful Bays Club (MBBW).

Located in the middle of a limestone valley, Cai Beo floating is one of the most well-known spots in Lan Ha Bay. This is one of the largest fishing villages in the country, with 300 households living on floating homes and living on aquaculture and fishing.

At dawn, Cai Beo fishing village is quietly nestled amidst the majestic limestone mountains forming a brilliant and harmonious picture between nature and people.

Coming to the fishing village, tourists will have the chance to get a closer insight into the daily life of the fishermen.
According to research by the Vietnam Archaeological Institute, Cai Beo is currently the most important archaeological site on the coast and island of the northeast of Vietnam. The locals in the area used to live on catching fish and oysters about 7,000 years ago.

After being included in the list of the most beautiful bays in the world by MBBW in January 2020, Lan Ha Bay has become a magnetic destination among both domestic and foreign visitors.
In May, Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio, the main character of Titanic film, posted a 58-second video on Instagram capturing the beauty of Lan Ha Bay from above. He described this place as a "paradise". Nevertheless, he also noted that the bay has been threatened by plastic waste, unsustainable tourism activities, and climate change. Therefore, he called for visitors coming here need to join hands to protect and reduce the impact on the environment.

From a bird-eye view, the green colors of mountains and sea mingle with the undulating karst mountain ranges make it an exquisite work of art by nature.
The journey to Ha Long Bay is not complete without visiting Luon Cave, the Viet Hai fishing village, Nam Cat Island, Monkey Island, Van Boi Beach, and Chuong Island.
When night descends, travelers can enjoy fresh seafood including grilled otter clam, salted roasted crab, or poached lobster with a glass or two of wine.
