President Ho Chi Minh Remembered on National Day

Celebrating the 77th National Day, on the morning of August 31, all officers and employees of the Embassy of Vietnam in India led by Chargé d'Affaires General Do Thanh Hai visited and offered flowers at Uncle Ho's statue in New Delhi.
Since the inauguration of Uncle Ho's statue, visiting and offering flowers has become a regular activity, especially on holidays and important national occasions. This activity not only expressed gratitude and love for Uncle Ho, but also contributed to fostering political awareness and ideology for young officials and employees of the Embassy.
To celebrate the National Day of Vietnam, members of the India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee also paid floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh Bust which was installed at the crossing of Jawaharlal Nehru Road and Ho Chi Minh Sarani in the centenary year of President Ho Chi Minh in 1990-1992 by the legendary war strategist General Vo Nguyen Giap.

An interactive meet was presided over by well known drama critic and Vice President Prem Kapoor and spoke at length about the historical deep rooted relations between India and Vietnam.
Jagdish Mishra, Chief Guest spoke that in his youth Swami Vivekanand, Subhash Chandra Bose and President Ho Chi Minh were his ideal. He participated in demonstrations against war in solidarity with the Vietnamese people.
Bimal Sharma social activist and a prominent member of the Solidarity Committee spoke different aspects of multifaceted personality of Ho Chi Minh, Arati Singh, Rawal Shaw Pushp, Shahid Hussain Shahid, Dr. Shahid Farogi read their recently written poems on Ho Chi Minh.
Others participated in the interaction were Bhola Ram, Md. Rajan, Sanjeev Ram and others. Leader of the youth wing of the IVSC Arvind Kori gave vote of thanks.
The India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee was born in 1974 and is headquartered in Calcutta, West Bengal State, India. It was established to promote the traditional friendship between India and Vietnam. Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang and representatives of Montreuil city authorities laid a wreath at President Ho Chi Minh’s Monument at Montreau park on September 1, on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of National Day (September 2).

The space has been remodeled by the Montreuil city government and the museum to make it more spacious. During the exchange, Museum Director Eric Lafond expressed his willingness to cooperate with the Embassy in welcoming and organizing activities to celebrate major milestones in bilateral relations in the coming time.
Also on September 1, the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela paid floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his monument in Caracas capital.

On August 28, the Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia organized an incense offering to Uncle Ho on the occasion of the 77th National Day of Vietnam and the 77th founding anniversary of the diplomatic sector. Also on this occasion, the Embassy officially opened a Vietnam Corner at the Ambassador's residence in Riyadh.
This small but cozy cultural space will help bring Vietnamese culture to the host country and the diplomatic corps through external activities to be held in the coming time, especially when Vietnam assumes the chair of the ASEAN group in Riyadh in 2023.
Cultural products on display include handicrafts, ceramics, lacquer paintings, oil paints of Vietnamese artisans, typical for products sent to the embassy in the past time.
