He also assessed that since the third Vietnam-France Strategic Dialogue and Defense Cooperation (December 2023), defense cooperation between the two sides has been effectively developed based on the Vietnam - France Defense Cooperation Program in 2024, following the development orientation of bilateral defense relations agreed by the leaders of the two countries' Ministries of Defense.
Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien emphasized that in the future, the two sides will research and focus on sharing memories and overcoming the consequences of war such as collecting historical documents, preparing historical educational materials, exchanging information and war memorabilia, and organizing joint seminars on historical topics.
