The famous American music magazine has recently given composer Khac Hung rave review for his contribution to the community in the COVID-19 fight and shared the story behind his ‘hand washing song’.

“Vietnam! Let’s Fight COVID”, the newly-released COVID-19 themed song has been lauded by Business Insider as a mood-booster for people amidst the novel pandemic.

The highly-anticipated English version of the catchy hand-washing song “Ghen Co Vy”, which features sign language, was finally released on April 9 by Vietnam Ministry of Health (MoH) with the hastag #EndCoV. 

Amid killed - coronavirus spreads worldwide and claims more than 74,000 lives, the world also sees the US remain the worst affected nation and struggling to combat Covid-19. However, President Trump always encourages himself and US to stay strong on his tweeter. A video of his sing-song created just for fun in a hope that the US and the world will defeat the virus soon.

The song, originally penned by Vietnamese songwriter Khac Hung, gets a new breath in folk music style with English lyrics, covered by New York-based Indie Folk and Americana Band The Good Morning Nags. 

American music magazine Billboard has listed “Ghen Cô Vy” – Vietnam’s catchy coronavirus PSA, among 10 songs that help ease global panic.
