Vietnam – Spain Friendship Association handed over protective suits to the Embassy of Spain in Vietnam.

On the morning of April 9, representatives of central Vietnam – Spain Friendship Association and Vietnam – Spain Friendship Association of Hanoi city handed over 1,000 protective suits as a gift of Vietnamese people to Embassy of Spain in Hanoi.

These 1,000 protective suits will be delivered to the Spanish Ministry of Health to support Spanish medical workers in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. This gesture demonstrates the solidarity of Vietnamese people with the Spanish people, a contribution to strengthen the good relationship between the two peoples.

On behalf of the Embassy of Spain in Vietnam, Ambassador Maria Jesus Figa Lopez-Palop sent her sincere thanks to the people of Vietnam for their precious gift to Spain.

“We deeply thank the hearts of Vietnamese Government and people. During recent years, we have received support from the Government as well as other ministries, departments, agencies and organizations in Vietnam. In particular, we are very grateful to the Vietnam – Spain Friendship Association for donating 1,000 protective suits. This is a valuable gift, from those we consider as our beloved ones,” said Ambassador Maria Jesus Figa Lopez-Palop.

The Ambassador said that Spain was going through a very painful and difficult period due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the gift of the central Vietnam – Spain Friendship Association and the Vietnam – Spain Friendship Association of Hanoi city is very timely and practical support.

“Spain will never forget the deep affection of Vietnamese people”, she said.

AT the same time, Ambassador Maria Jesus Figa Lopez-Palop appreciated the COVID-19 prevention measures taken by Vietnamese Government. She believes that with the agreement between the Government and the people, Vietnam will surely win this battle.

The Ambassador also thanks Vietnam for its support to Spanish citizens who are living or visiting Vietnam during the coronavirus outbreak. So far, there is no any Spanish nationals in Vietnam confirmed positive with COVID-19.
