Fifteen designers presented new collections of Ao Dai, Vietnam's traditional long dress, at a fashion show featuring outfits with patterns showcasing different cultures of many countries from around the world.

Mrs. Le Thi Quyen, 80 years old, began learning to make 'Ao dai' at the age of 12. She opened her own tailor factory when she was 40 years old and has created tens of thousands of ao dai bearing the heirloom brand, which is very famous in Hanoi.

The Hoi An Ao dai festival took place at Hoi An Impressive Park, Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province on the evening of June 14.

Ao Dai Week is held by The Vietnam Women Union alongside the Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism as part of the “Ao Dai-Vietnam’s Cultural Heritage” programme, marking 90 years since the founding of the Vietnam Women’s Union and 110 years since the launch of International Women’s Day on March 8.
