3000 disadvantaged students and workers were given free airplane and car tickets to return home for Tet holiday by a program titled "Mang Tết về nhà" (Bringing Tet home) organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.

Administrations at all levels and sectors needed to do their best to improve social welfare work, ensuring that all people, especially social policy beneficiaries and poor households, enjoy a happy Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

In the celebratory atmosphere of upcoming International Children's Day (June 1) and in order to support those in need affected by the COVID-19, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO) in collaboration with a foreign non-governmental organization of Taiwan (China) Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation to bring 2,000 gifts to disadvantaged people and children in the city.

More support has continued to be provided to disadvantaged people across the nation to help ease their difficulties due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).    

Hanoi authorities have taken actions to support the community to stabilize life and fight against Covid-19 on the Reunification Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1.
