According to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, from 2010 to present, the total number of Vietnamese workers working abroad for a limited time is more than 1.4 million. Every year, they send back about US$3.5-4 billion in remittances.

Amid widespread and complex development of Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) asked the Overseas Labour Management Department to  suspend worker sending abroad until the end of April.
