Vietnamese people are to enjoy this Tet (Lunar New Year) with warmer weather patterns. No thunderstorms, lightning or hail are in the forecast, meteorologists announced.

Numbers of provinces across the North, including Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, and Lai Chau are all frosted up as temperature dips to below zero degrees Celcius.

Northern provinces are expected to welcome the strongest cold spell this winter starting December 14, heavy rains would make it an even bitter experience.
