Tran Minh Luong (31), an electrical engineer in Can Tho, has a passion for photography. In the past 3 years, Minh Luong traveled across Vietnam to take photos of scenic landscapes in tourist destinations categorized by topics. “Bridges Across Vietnam” is one such collection.
Nhat Tan Bridge
A highlight in the Red River area, Nhat Tan cable-stayed bridge shines bright in eye-catching colors at night. The main part of the bridge is 3.7km long with 5 spans, connecting Phu Thuong ward of Tay Ho district and Vinh Ngoc commune of Dong Anh district. Inaugurated in 2015, the Nhat Tan bridge forms part of a six-lane highway that shortens the travel between Hanoi and Noi Bai International Airport.

Hoang Van Thu Bridge
Hoang Van Thu Bridge is one of the most modern bridges in Hai Phong City, crossing the Cam River and linking Minh Khai ward of Hong Bang district with Tan Duong commune of Thuy Nguyen suburban district. The main part of the 1.5km-bridge inspired by the wings of a seabird includes a steel arc that is the largest of its kind in Vietnam. Coming to Hai Phong, in addition to crossing the Hoang Van Thu bridge, tourists can also explore other iconic destinations such as Do Son beach, Cat Ba Island, Lan Ha bay or Hon Dau island.

The bridge connects Hon Gai town on one side of Cua Luc Bay with Bai Chay ward in Ha Long city of Quang Ninh province. In use since 2006, Bai Chay Bridge facilitates transportation in Ha Long City and Highway 18A, one of the major routes connecting the economic north triangle zone in Vietnam (Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh), contributing to the socio-economic development of the northeast region.

Truong Tien Bridge
Together with the Huong River and Ngu Mountain, Truong Tien bridge is considered one of Hue’s icons. Tourists coming to the ancient city in central Vietnam can rent a boat to take in the breathtaking views on both sides of the river, up until Truong Tien Bridge.
A design of Gustav Eiffel, the mastermind behind the Eiffel Tower, Truong Tien has a width of 6 meters and 6 spans of steel comb-shaped girder, each span measures 67m long. If including the road leading to the bridge, Truong Tien has a total length of about 453m.

The Dragon Bridge
Hailed as “the city of bridges,” Da Nang is home to the iconic Dragon Bridge that takes inspiration from the dragon in the Ly Dynasty reaching out to the sea.
The Dragon Bridge is 666m long, crossing the Han River and shortening the distance between Da Nang International Airport to the city center. It is also the main route to the famous My Khe and Non Nuoc beaches.

An Hoi Bridge
Reserved for pedestrians, An Hoi bridge connects Hoi An ancient town and Nguyen Phuc Chu Road, bearing ancient architecture and decorations created in the 16th century. Even though it is not as famous as the Chua Cau wooden bridge, a symbol of Hoi An, the An Hoi bridge is a favorite amongst tourists for the scenic views it can offer.

Can Tho Bridge
Minh Luong anchors his life and works in Can Tho, so he has many photos of the lively city.
“Can Tho Bridge has a LED lighting system that operates at fixed periods, so there is nothing better than waiting for the bridge to light up as the moon shines. I was driving my motorbike to the Ninh Kieu harbor to take some photos. I could take this photo because it was a windless night,” Minh Luong said.

Ninh Kieu pedestrian bridge
Ninh Kieu pedestrian bridge is one of Ninh Kieu district’s highlights. The bridge is measured at 199m, winding like the S letter. The body of the bridge has 2 extension parts built with lotus statues.
