‘Things Will Be Fine’- Netizens Encourage Da Nang In Covid-19 Fight

Recently, netizens are constantly sharing posts, messages and photos with hashtags #StayStrongDaNang or #CoLenDaNang to encourage Da Nang city on social networks, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

With new positive cases recorded daily, Da Nang is a new battlefield of the fight against Covid-19 in Vietnam. To cope with the situation, Da Nang begun semi-lockdown from 1pm 28th July, 7 out of 8 districts in the city are locked down as drastic measures to prevent and control Covid-19 from spreading under the Prime Minister's Directive 16.

Doctors from Bach Mai Hospital and Cho Ray Hospital were deployed to support Da Nang’s hospitals. Photos of medical teams working hard and participating in epidemic prevention and control are being shared on social media.

A netizen encouraged Da Nang’s people via an online forum: "Our Da Nang are peaceful. Guys, do not say Da Nang has fallen. It can’t be fall. We, the people of Da Nang, are still calm, waiting for the upcoming storm. This is not because we are scared or ignorance. We always believe in the Vietnamese Government, and we love the city of Da Nang. We believe that we will overcome this situation. To do so, stay where you are, and things will be normal soon.".

In addition to spreading encouraging messages, netizens also shared the Ministry of Health’s anti-epidemic prevention instructions, urging people to follow local authorities’ instructions. Fake news is strongly condemned by the netizens.

For 4 consecutive days from 25th to 28th of July, Vietnam has recorded new Covid-19 positive cases in the community with 22 patients in 3 provinces: Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Quang Nam.
