COVID-19 Updates (July 29): 8 newly detected cases in Da Nang

Da Nang reported 8 new cases
The test results on July 28, 2020 showed 8 fresh cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus. Da Nang Center for Disease Control continues to conduct epidemiological investigations, make a list of close contacts, and thoroughly handle the second COVID-19 outbreak in the city.
The mentioned 8 cases includes:
Patient No. 439: Female, 68 years old, family member of patients at Da Nang Hospital.
Patient No. 440: Female, 41 years old, family member of patients at Da Nang Hospital.
Patient No. 441: Female, 43 years old, family member of patients at Da Nang Hospital.
Patient No. 442: Female, 55 years old, family member of patients at Da Nang Hospital.
Patient No. 443: Female, 43 years old, family member of patients at Da Nang Hospital.
Patient No. 444: Male, 19 years old, a patient at Da Nang Lung Hospital
Patient No. 445: Female, 61 years old, patient at Ophthalmology Department, Da Nang Hospital C.
Patient No. 446: Female, 39 years old, live in Cam Le, Da Nang, a patient at Transport Hospital, Da Nang.
Through extensive investigation and surveillance, the Da Nang Center for Disease Control has sampled and tested suspected cases, cited by Baoquote.
As of the morning of July 29, among the Covid-19 patients being treated, there are 12 patients with negative test results from 1-2 times with the virus. There are still 65 patients positive for the Covid-19 virus. Currently, most of them have stable health.
Among the patients being treated at Da Nang Hospital, there are 2 severe cases, that are: patient no. 416 who has to use ECMO after 5 days is now reported with improved health indicators. He is predicted to be ruled out of ECMO in the coming days. Patient no. 418 who already has many underlying diseases such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, complications of respiratory failure, heart failure, acute kidney damage, continues to be monitored with no need to use ECMO.

Da Nang re-implements social distancing methods
Starting from 0 am, July 28, 2020, the Ministry of Transport announced to stop all flights, rail transport, and road transport to and from Danang within 15 days. Da Nang City and its surrounding areas have re-taking social distancing measures to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, which are similar to what was applied in Vietnam in March. Currently, the aviation industry only prioritizes a number of flights to depart tourists from the city after the social distancing order.
Da Nang authorities also applied blockade at 3 hospitals: Hospital C (Ministry of Health), Da Nang Hospital, Da Nang Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, where most COVID-19 cases are detected and being treated.
Implementation starts from 0 a.m on July 28 until August 11 and can be extended under the Government's Decree 101.
Other provinces join hands to prevent pandemic beak
According to Tuoi Tre, Can Tho People's Committee requests local people not to leave their house if not necessary, strictly implement preventive measures such as wearing masks, not to gather in a crowd of more than 30 people in public places (exclude: authorities' departments, schools, hospitals ...); and keep a minimum distance of 1 meter when contacting.
The Ho Chi Minh City Health Department has issued an urgent document asking all hospitals and other medical facilities not to refuse medical examination or treatment for patients coming from Da Nang. The Department of Health recommends that all medical examinations and treatment facilities strengthen control measures for their customers and staff such as hand washing, masks wearing, temperature checks.
