Three Key Tasks to Develop the Vietnamese Student Community in Belgium
The Congress was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Belgium Nguyen Van Thao, representatives from the Vietnamese General Association and the Vietnamese Women's Union in Belgium, and more than 30 delegates representing over 500 Vietnamese students studying at 12 universities in ten Belgian cities and provinces.
This event is not only an opportunity to review the Vietnamese Students Association in Belgium (SIVIBI) recent activities but also to define the future and long-term development of the Vietnamese student community in Belgium.
Delivering a speech at the Congress, Ambassador Nguyen Van Thao stressed three key goals that SIVIBI must focus on to promote the Vietnamese student community in Belgium and contribute to the country's development.

First, every student needs to study hard and practice to become the country's future seeds. This is the core task of every Vietnamese student, requiring their best efforts in studying.
Second, Vietnamese students in Belgium should develop comprehensively, including intellectually, physically, and spiritually. Students need to become the faces of their homeland while also contributing to the development of Vietnam. This comprehensive development benefits not only the youth but also the community and country.
Third, SIVIBI needs to develop close ties with domestic associations and the Vietnamese community in Belgium, forming a strong network to share information, support each other, and create favorable conditions for the development and success of all community members.

Over the past term, the SIVIBI has made numerous attempts to develop the association. The association’s main goal is to encourage more Vietnamese students in Belgium to participate in its activities and movements, thereby establishing an environment that supports and encourages students to engage in learning, scientific research, and physical training.
The Congress negotiated the election of the Executive Committee of the Vietnamese Student Association in Belgium, term V, for the 2024-2026 period, which has 19 members. Nguyen Tuan Nghia, a Master of Business Administration from Louvain University, was chosen as President of the Association.
